OPEN HAIR CONGRESS III: an event in the company of friends
From 29 November to 2 December in Berlino the motto was: Hands first! A truly revolutionary concept!
It was an event unlike all others, with an almost revolutionary approach: European hairdressers of international renown created a collection live on stage. Organised by the Open Academy International Vinokurov & Friends, the OPEN HAIR CONGRESS of Berlino is the first event of its kind in Geramany, an absolute premiere. The same event had already been celebrated with success in two other cities: Moscow and Venice. Why Berlin? The German capital recently became home to the head offices of the organisers and for 2019 a new edition of the OPEN HAIR CONGRESS, is being planned, always in Berlin.
The very concept of the academy, which is also the organiser, is unique: various hairstylists create a joint collection on stage. The company affiliation or the brands used in the salon make no difference. What counts is talent, or what they can create with their hands, and the desire to share knowledge and skills with friends (hairdressers).
The focus of 30 November was Look & Learn
Those present included Frank Brormann from Germany, known for his calligraphic cut, Mario Krankl, Austrian hairstylist and world champion, Jean Michel Leroux and Stephanie Bruusgaard of mod‘s Hair (Germany), Dimitris Dimitrakoudis & Claus Hochreuter / Goldwell (Germany), Patrik Kolbow (Germany) & Vladimir Garus / OMC & Irina Bachtina (Moscow), Dmitry Vinokurov (Russia) with his innovative cutting technique dubbed
”Counter-punctuation”, as well as barbering professionals Patrik Kolbow (Germany), Irina Bakhtina (Russia) and Vladimir Garus (Russia).
1 December was SOLO-phonia!
Inspired by this theme, top international hairstylists gathered to bring a live show onto the Berlin stage - including make-up and styling - of the breathtaking spring-summer SOLO-phonia collection, which includes four areas of trends:
1. Queens & Kings
2. Cyber Geisha
3. Safari City
4. Black Tie
Even the guests’ photo shoot was done live. This was not a runway of star hairdressers. On the contrary, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a group of friends kept busy on the stage and all together proposed their creations: Dmitry Vinokurov & Creative Assambley di Intercoiffure Mondial (Russia), Cyrill Brune (France), Margoolzata & Pawel Babicz / Intercoiffure Mondial (Poland / Krakow), JeanLuc Paris (Germany, Berlin), Peter Schweizer (Germany, Berlin), Birgit Turek & Claus Hochreuter / Open Academy International Vinokurov & FRIENDS (Germany, Berlin).
