Waiting for Cosmoprof Bologna…
It’s scheduled for 8th-11th March, 2013. But Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will in fact open a day earlier (7th) with Cosmopack, before opening its doors to the whole industry – perfumery and cosmetics, spa and beauty, natural products, hairdressing, nails and, obviously, packaging.
The 2013 event will be a business platform aimed at all distribution channels, aided by strong investment by the organisers which will guarantee the attendance of buyers and distributors in the perfumery and cosmetics sector. Exhibitors are assured of B2B opportunities as an international buyer/distributor delegation has been invited from upcoming promising markets. The message has gone out to B.R.I.C.s (Brazil, Russia, India, China), the United States, the Middle East and Europe, thanks to heavy investment in the foreign press of the perfumery and cosmetics industries for focused and specific audience targeting.
Another newly improved feature is the exhibition layout, designed to accommodate the latest market trends and improve the visitor experience whilst optimizing the use of the two main entrances, Costituzione and Michelino. The Packaging, Beauty&Spa, Nails and Hair sectors will all benefit from new locations which will ensure that these companies attract maximal numbers of visitors, who will in turn have an easier, fluid and organised route around the exhibition spaces.
Once again, this year’s Cosmoprof will present events such as On Hair (a catwalk show of the latest hairfashions), Esthetiring (an area dedicated to massage), Hair Ring (selection of the cré me de la créme by the Italian Hairdressing Association), Extraordinary Gallery (the multi-sensorial exhibition area for special “niche” products returns), Country Pavillion (nation-based areas with two new entries, India and Colombia). Then there’s The new talent, a contest designed to encourage new talented youngsters as well as supporting both Italian and international creativity. And this time round it has a new look – the “Total Look” category, complete with hairdressing, make-up, nails and clothes – for a global trend overview.
Also worth mentioning is the Spot-on-Beautyinitiative dedicated to newcomer companies – they will be able to present themselves and their products to an international buyer audience. The areas for product display will be item-specific and inside one of the appropriate category pavilions – Hair, Beauty or Perfumery. There will also be a Beauty Avenue: starting at the Piazza Costituzione entrance and winding up at the Beauty pavilions. Then there’s also The Premium Parfumery, a new area for both established and new high-class brands from all over the world. There’ll be no lack of evening events to link up the fair and the city – The Perfumery Academy Awards will take place at a prestigious city centre location, for one. And, shortly, another initiative will be announced that will co-opt the city of Bologna into the wider event.
And Cosmoprof Worldwide has launched its official promotional campaign for 2013, under the direction of well-known ad agency Leo Burnett (who will also be responsible for the 2014 event). The decision by Gruppo BolognaFiere to entrust the advertising to Leo Burnett was made with the intention of highlighing the significance of Cosmoprof and its worldwide leadership status in the wellness, health and beauty industries. In fact, a campaign has also been planned to promote the worldwide platform of Cosmoprof – not only in Bologna but also in Las Vegas and Hong Kong.
Leo Burnett’s campaign arises from a holistic vision of Cosmoprof and its brand values. The fair is in fact symbolised by the agency as a flower that buds and blossoms. “This choice is an important step in our enhancement of a brand with a clearly defined identity”, said Duccio Campagnoli, president of BolognaFiere. “An internationally-famous brand needs the right form of advertising and promotion. We are sure that this collaborative partnership with Leo Burnett will add even more prestige to the Cosmoprof Worldwide reputation as an international hub for the beauty world”.
