Stained Glass By Justin Pace
With thick unrefined edges, harsh colors and imperfections, up close stained glass looks raw, misshapen and imperfect. But illuminated and viewed from a distance, it has a level of beauty that seems divine and perfect – Perfection in Imperfection.
In the same way this collection aims to blur the line between the uncomfortably seductive and the appeal of more traditional beauty. To do this, Justin Pace uses strong focal colours framed in softer, sensual shapes. As with stained glass, up close the brash colors and textures seem harsh, but taken as a whole they have a softer feminine air but without losing impact.
